Our Trip to the Library
We had our first field trip! We walked to the Glen Oaks library. We read several stories, and engaged in an art activity that is now displayed in the library. We also practiced our partner and private reading in the library.
Math Groups!
We are working together to discuss and model numbers in many different ways! We explain our thinking by working with partners.
We also play math games to increase our number sense and to think of strategies.
Reading Workshop:
We are Readers!
We look, We think, We read!
We are ALL readers! We use our pointer power to point to each word as we read. This helps us with one to one matching. This helps us read carefully so we don't rush or skip words. When we slow down and read carefully we can have a better understanding of a text.
